Senior Frontend Engineer
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of the user-facing features that serve over 50,000 monthly investors. You'll work on building real-time IPO tracking dashboards, interactive data visualizations, and ensuring the platform is blazing fast and accessible on every device.
This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences how retail investors experience IPO research. You'll collaborate closely with our Lead Developer, Data Analyst, and UX Designer to ship features that matter — and you'll have the autonomy to make meaningful technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-performance, responsive frontend features for the CheckIPO platform using modern JavaScript (React/Next.js)
- Develop real-time IPO subscription dashboards with live data updates using WebSockets and REST APIs
- Implement interactive data visualizations (charts, progress bars, tables) for GMP tracking and financial data
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first responsiveness across all features
- Own Core Web Vitals and page performance — target LCP < 2.5s across all IPO pages
- Collaborate with the UX Designer to implement design systems and maintain component libraries
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers
- Work with SEO Specialist to implement technical SEO best practices including structured data, canonical tags, and sitemap management
Requirements
Must-Have
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
- Strong proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES2020+)
- Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering and static site generation
- Deep understanding of HTML5 semantics, CSS3, and responsive design
- Experience with REST APIs and real-time data (WebSockets or SSE)
- Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques and tools (Lighthouse, Web Vitals)
- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with D3.js or similar data visualization libraries
- Background in fintech or financial data-heavy applications
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and structured data (JSON-LD)
- TypeScript proficiency
